Other similar worms are more picky about where they live, and tend to get crabby when things are not just so. Indeed, because Eisenia foetida are used to many different environments, they are quite adaptable and can deal with weird things like mangos, bible tracts, and beer crime.
Another reason bianca's babies think so highly of Eisenia foetida is their availablity. The worms can be bought by the pound from fishing places and through the mail year round.
